Changing the way we work

The nature of how we work has been changing for a while. Gone are the days when people could only call you when you were in the office or you had to get on board a plane if you had a meeting abroad. Not only is it the way that we work has changed, but the environment in which we work from too.

Over the last few years due to the economic downturn, we have seen many occupiers downsizing. Reducing their over-heads by either moving to smaller offices, or moving out-of-town. This is no surprise, but what we are also experiencing, is a shift in how businesses are using their office space.

With modern technology, companies now realise that staff can work more flexibly. There isn’t the need to come into the office every day 9-5. There are ways in which people can work from home easily and still be productive – probably even more so!

A shift in ‘flexible working’ has also meant that the office layout is changing. Even the largest and most traditional firms are moving away from individual private offices and making way for open plan desks and ‘hot-desking’.

Savvy businesses are analysing how their office is used and how it can become more efficient, not only saving them money, but also making the environment a more productive and inspiring place to work.

If you are looking to move your office to either downsize, scale-up – or to find somewhere that will boost productivity, let us know. We can help you find the perfect solution.
